Our friendly and experienced designers will meet with our client to discuss their requirements, goals and aspirations. They will advise on the feasibility, practicality, complexity, legality and potential cost of these criteria. They will then develop the brief in consultation with the client to produce an employer’s requirements document.
Our team of surveyors has the knowledge and skills to tackle virtually any type of structure. We have carried out surveys of a variety of building types, including commercial, retail, residential, warehousing, technical facilities and laboratories. Some members of the team have at least 22 years experience of building surveys.
How it works:
Once the survey data has been collected and the survey drawings have been verified, our creative designers will develop the conceptual design and any options required. They will liaise with the statutory authorities and provide graphics, hand drawn and/or computer generated visuals and actual materials/products. They will illustrate complex areas prior to developing detailed construction drawings so that everyone understands and is aware of the design as early as possible, in order to avoid any misunderstanding which might cause delay or unnecessary cost.
Our project managers and quantity surveyors develop the budget alongside our design team and services consultants and in consultation with the client to guarantee that the employer’s requirements are met in the most cost effective manner. They will produce a development budget for approval by the client to ensure that the client can see what costs will be incurred in which areas and agree a reasonable contingency if required.
Goodesign’s creative team, comprising interior designers, architects and architectural technicians as required, specialise in the production of hi-quality fast-response design and architectural schemes for our clients, utilising the latest versions of industry standard technology, enabling us to communicate design concepts. We can provide clients with sample and mood boards, artwork and 3D visualisations of our scheme, as well as detailed CAD and working/construction drawings and schedules. Once complete, all design information is provided in a format, which will assist in the actual implementation of the project.
In this world of increasing and bureaucracy and ever changing legislation Goodesign’s highly trained employees are kept up to date with all current requirements. They will liaise with the local Planning and Building Control authorities and the Health and Safety Executive and will produce all the necessary documentation that they require. Acting as agents we will ensure that our clients understand their options, the processes involved, and carry out all negotiations on their behalf ensuring that their interests are protected.
Your designer/project manager will be your single point of contact, they'll meet with you on a regular basis and give you progress reports tailored to your time and desired involvement in the project. They will assist in the production of information for all necessary approvals and advise you on procurement options based on your programme. During construction they will administer the contract, co-ordinate all inspections, monitor health and safety and CDM compliance, oversee programme, approve payments and ensure regulatory compliance. Goodesign uses the latest project management and programming software to monitor progress and ensure that all parties clearly understand their responsibilities, the deliverables expected and the projects critical path.
